The London Raiders men's team, playing as the "District Line" (each of the five Raiders teams playing at the Montreal OutGames has taken the name of a London tube line), won a convincing final on Friday afternoon to clinch the gold medal in the recreational open tournament (officially the "men's competition division 2").
The team hit consistently throughout the game and turned in their best defensive performance of the tournament in beating Vancouver Heat by a margin of 21-7.
One of the two mixed teams (the Jubilee Line) also started the day with medal hopes, playing off for the bronze medal in the same division against the Sydney Outfielders. The Jubilee team never really found their stride though, and had to settle for fourth place.
