On the day weather announcement: due to the webmaster being at a tournament, please check the weather forecast on the morning. Raiders will generally play in rain, unless it is very bad weather. No what the weather, someone will be in the pub!

2009 Membership

The season's well underway and we've filled our roster of players for 2009. Contact us to see how you can still get involved with the club - even if it's not playing this season.

Experienced player? Please get in touch! We *may* have some spaces at some of our own Raiders invitational tournaments, or at some of the other national tournaments we play at. And we'd be happy to welcome you to a League Team  next year. We are still especially keen to talk to competitive standard female players...!

Baseball Softball UK

Spirit of the Club:

The London Raiders is a gay and lesbian softball club based in London. Our members range across the board from experienced to new players and our teams from competitive to recreational, but our overall ethos is play hard, socialise hard.

Our emphasis is as much on fun and socialising as a community as it is on playing softball. We are proud that our members stay in contact throughout the off-season (we've set up a very successful bowling league which is in its third season!) and we offer a wide range of social events in addition to softball training and games.

We currently have 4 league teams in the Greater London Mixed Softball League (GLMSL) ranging from comp B to comp D level and a recreational team which plays in the Publishing league.  As a club, many of our members also play a range of tournaments in London, throughout the UK and abroad. Additionally, new for 2009 we are now running a development squad for new players and are about to launch the Raiders Sunday League, our internal league and the very first UK gay softball league!
